Our Tips: Here’s How to Care for Your New Furbaby

Let’s jump right into some tips to care for your new furbaby!

Provide a Safe Space

Everyone at your home may be excited to have the new family member around–especially if you have kids in your house. Your furry friend will need a safe space to enjoy some time to himself while not being disturbed by humans.

Get your pet a comfortable bed and stimulating toys to keep him entertained for when you’re not home.

Fresh Water and Food

Make sure that at any given time, your pet has access to fresh drinking water. You also need to ensure that your pet is getting enough food. Go for a quality kibble that doesn’t contain filler ingredients or added flavors, coloring, and preservatives.

Stay on Top of Vet Visits and Vaccinations

Make sure that you go for the vet appointment on time and follow the vaccination schedule religiously. This will help prevent future issues from cropping up.

Exercise

To stay healthy and happy, your pet needs to exercise and get some fresh air. You can start taking your pet out to dog parks once he’s vaccinated. Playing games with your furry friend can be an excellent bonding experience for both of you!

Grooming Matters, too!

Grooming doesn’t only make your pet look cuter; it also is excellent for his overall health! Brush your pet’s hair at least three times a week, shampoo as needed, trim his nails every two weeks and brush his teeth regularly.

Pets love to be groomed, and this will be a fun experience for the two of you to share.
