It’s Shadow’s birthday month! Her big day is on May 25th, and I love making her feel beyond spoiled, especially on her birthday. And it’s so fun to celebrate!
The best part about doggie birthdays is that our dogs don’t anticipating anything special. What they want most for their birthday is your time, love, and attention.
So, even if you’re like us this year and have too much going on to throw a big bash, you can still make your dog feel beyond spoiled.
Here are some tips (from experience) on how to make your dog’s birthday a big success!
First, keep your dog’s personality in mind when planning their big day.
If your dog loves to play games, set up a few obstacles courses or play fetch in the backyard.
If your dog is more of a couch potato, put out some special snacks and toys for them to enjoy. You can even cook up a fresh homemade dinner, cuddle up, and turn on a doggy-themed movie like “The Secret Life of Pets” or “Isle of Dogs.”
No matter what you do to celebrate, the most important thing is to spend quality time with your dog doing what your dog loves to do. They’ll be happy just being with you.
